Prof. (Dr.) Chattar Singh

Prof. (Dr.) Chattar Singh is a well-known social scientist and a political analyst, specialized in regional studies. Having done his master’s degrees in History, Mass Communication and Laws, he was awarded a Ph.D. degree in Modern History from Kurukshetra University where he taught for 36 years before retiring as Professor and Chairman of the History Department in 2012. Now he has 41 years of experience in academic administration in Govt. and private sectors in the University system.

  1. Chaired academic sessions in many conferences held in Baroda, Chandigarh, Meerut, Rohtak, Ambala, Sirsa, Karnal, Tohana, Hisar Fatehabad and many other places.
  2. Acted as Co-ordinator of History subject in the Department of Distance Education, KUK for MA/MPhil classes and conducting Personal Contact Programme classes for its students.
  3. Revised syllabi of undergraduate and post-graduate classes for regular departmental students, private students and students registered with the university’s Directorate of Distance Education recently, which were adopted by the state sister university of MD University, Rohtak, Haryana Government and Punjab Government colleges.
